Refugee Adjustment Clinic Day aims to address a growing need in the Indianapolis immigrant community; that of helping refugees apply for permanent residency without the financial burden of hiring private attorneys. Volunteering this Saturday provides a chance to be part of one of the most significant milestones of many refugees' lives.
Kelsey Raves, Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic Staff Attorney, will deliver a 1-hour CLE training on how to appropriately complete forms I-485 and G-28, and then volunteers will meet directly with clients to assist them.
Volunteer opportunities are available for attorneys, law students, general volunteers, and interpreters (Burmese, Arabic, French, Tigrinya, Swahili).
