The Expungement Help Desk works to remove the barriers to financial freedom and stability faced by individuals with criminal records by helping them apply for an expungement under Indiana’s Second Chance law.
The American Bar Endowment (ABE) Opportunity Grant Program helps to fund the work of our Expungement Help Desk.

In Indiana, an expungement is the process by which individuals can obtain legal protections that prevent them from being discriminated against on the basis of their criminal records. In some situations, an expungement can also limit the public’s access to an individual’s criminal history.

What’s next?
After submitting an intake request, you’ll receive an initial email confirmation and will be in line to receive services from the Expungement Help Desk. Please be patient as this process may take a few weeks. You’ll receive an additional email once we begin reviewing your case and another once we determine your eligibility.
