Course Description
Presenter Annie Anderson is a staff attorney with the Clinic's Survivor Justice Program (SJP). One of the most common case types she handles within SJP is the U Visa, an immigration benefit available to victims of domestic violence, felonious assault, and other types of violent crime. This session will cover U Visa eligibility (including the required helpfulness to law enforcement), U Visa benefits, and the overall application process.

Presenter Bio
Annie Anderson is an Indianapolis native and graduated from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2013. Annie worked from 2013 to 2016 as a deputy processing attorney with the Marion County Prosecutor’s office, where she prosecuted juvenile, misdemeanor, Level 6, and major felony cases. Annie joined the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic in 2016, and she serves as a staff attorney with the Victim Justice Program. Her practice primarily consists of victim-based immigration petitions and relief before USCIS and EOIR.
